THE RISE OF THE WOMEN’S CIRCLE:
HOW TO HOLD WORLD-CHANGING SPACES FOR WOMEN
A LIVE MASTERCLASS
THURSDAY 13TH FEBRUARY
1PM OR 7PM UK TIME
IT’S NOT TOO LATE TO REMEMBER OUR SHARED HUMANITY.
IT IS TIME TO RECLAIM THE POWER OF WOMEN SITTING IN CIRCLE.
THIS IS OUR TIME TO RISE.
WILL YOU JOIN US?
Our world is sorely crying out for spaces where women can gather.
Spaces where authenticity, vulnerability & compassion can thrive.
Where women can reawaken the ancient knowing of what it means to come together in the kind of space we feel in our BONES.
There has never been more of a need for women to step forward and lead these spaces. To start to create healing ripples in their communities through the simple act of gathering, sharing truth and stories and creating spaces which feel full of hope.
At Sister Stories, we are on the path of creating a world which doesn’t follow the top-down patriarchal model, but moves in a softer, more equitable and more loving way.
A world which has Circle at its centre.
It is time to reclaim this practice of gathering in a circle, in community and telling the truths of our lives. Remembering that we are all more similar than we are different. Remembering that when women gather, a special kind of healing magic is in the air.
And we want you to join us.
This free Masterclass and gathering of women is a change to take your first steps into joining the movement.
Hosted by Founder of Sister Stories Gemma Brady, this this masterclass will open your mind and heart. We will share:
How to connect to your own world-changing vision and impact you want to make through gathering women in your own community.
How hosting Circle can transform your life and business whilst having deep social impact.
How to hold spaces of integrity and impact.
How to avoid some of the most common mistakes people make when holding circles.
This Masterclass is for you if:
You feel strongly called to facilitate sisterhood & want to make an impact in the world.
You are a professional space holder and want to add Circles to your skillset, or are brand new to space holding and want to make sure you’re doing it responsibly.
You are someone who is big-hearted, conscientious and cares about holding ethical spaces with integrity.
You would like to receive concrete guidance, inspiration and a framework for holding Circle space.
This Masterclass is for ALL women who feel the call. There is no one ‘type’ of woman who can successfully hold Circle- we do not need to be young, thin and white. We do not need to wear flowing goddess robes or ‘look the part.’
We simply need to hear the call and listen to it.
Sister Stories is the UK’s leading women’s circle organisation, and we are on a mission to make going to Circle as common as yoga class . Our ntention behind this masterclass is to share our knowledge, techniques and experience so you can be part of the movementWill you join us?

ABOUT YOUR GUIDE: GEMMA BRADY, FOUNDER OF SISTER STORIES
My path to holding women’s circles was an unsual one.
In my career as an award-winning documentary maker for the BBC, Channel 4 and some of the UKs leading charities, I learned about the extraordinary connecting power of story in the interview room. It was not what happened on camera that moved me, but rather what happened behind the camera.
Through creating a space for inviting an individual to share the story of their life, every single person in the room would be deeply moved, finding themselves laying down their preconceived judgements, identifying threads of similarity to the person being interviewed, even if their lives were wildly different on the outside. From the sound recordist to the runner, everyone in the room would experience a sense of connection and catharsis. We all left each filming day a little softer, a little more compassionate and with a sense of being a little more human.
In the aftermath of my own isolation after sudden brain surgery, I craved real life community.
Fascinated by the power of storytelling to connect I had witnessed in my documentary work, I became curious about how I might create something similar, but for groups.
One September evening in 2017, I started an experiment I called ‘Sister Stories’ in my living room, where I invited a circle of women to sit in a circle and tell the stories of their lives. It immediately gained extraordinary pace and just 8 years later Sister Stories has grown to be the UK’s biggest ‘Circle’ organisation, bringing people together to share their stories of their lives.
In response to a huge demand from participants who said ‘I want to learn to do this’, I developed a CPD Accredited methodology of Circle facilitation. Since 2018 I have taught over 1000 women from 5 continents to support them in sharing circles as a way to facilitate both individual and collective healing.
The spaces I hold weave together my vast experience of creating spaces for storytelling, vulnerability and truth from both the documentary and women’s circle world.
I can’t wait to gather with you.
FAQs
What time is the Masterclass?
We are offering you the option to join one of two live sessions on Thursday 13th February, and you can choose which works best for you time wise.
Do I need to prepare?
You don’t need to prepare anything at all. Come as you are, with an open heart and curious mind. We will do the rest.
Do I need to have experience in this work or similar to join?
No. One of the things we value most is genuine diversity in the space. Anyone, from any background, can learn to gather women in circles in their community. Over the years we have had doctors, social workers, opera directors, lawyers, pharmacists, herapst, activists, photographers, charity workers, nurses, midwives, headteachers, childminders and so many more people join us.
Is there a replay?
There will be a replay, but the reason we are offering two sessions is that truly, they are much more potent live. Please join us there if you can. 1pm or 7pm, UK time.
